18 Quarters in the dumb machine

I thought, "MMM, hungry." So I went to a concession machine. The first foods got stucks (50 cents.) The next landed on it (1.00). The next pushed them up (1.50). The next pushed them to the right. (2.00) The next pushed them down, but the majority got lodged behind the glass (2.50). To dislodge them, I bought another, different snack (3.25). It got stuck. I bought another (3.50). They all came out (with gentle shaking, of course.) Then, I dropped 50 cents under the machine.... what a shame.
